In 2026 Better Kenmore Community Development Corporation will host a total of 6 placemaking events that include 3 summer First Fridays, BOO on The BLVD and Light The BLVD. This year we will turn last year's BLVD Block Party into an annual kick-off tradition for the first Saturday in June. These events bring about 5,500 visitors with a promotional and advertising reach to over 100,000 impressions via radio, print media, signage, website and social media.

Why do we host these events? To transform underutilized spaces into vibrant, engaging hubs, fostering community connection, economic growth and a stronger sense of place and ownership among residents.
